India claims two golds at Asian Games 2023

On September 25, at the Asian Games 2023, the Indian men’s 10m air rifle team achieved a remarkable feat by securing the gold medal with a world record score. The trio, consisting of world champion Rudrankksh Patil, Olympian Divyansh Panwar, and Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, collectively scored 1893.7 in the qualification round. This exceptional performance not only earned them the gold but also surpassed the previous world record of 1893.3, which had been set by the Chinese team just a month prior at the World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan.

In another triumphant moment for India, the women’s cricket team clinched the gold medal in their debut appearance at the Asian Games. Facing Sri Lanka in the final match, the Indian team, led by rookie pacer Titas Sadhu, displayed outstanding teamwork and determination. In a low-scoring final, they emerged victorious, defeating Sri Lanka by a margin of 19 runs.

These victories reflect the incredible talent and dedication of Indian athletes across various disciplines, showcasing their ability to excel on the international stage.
