Police Encounter Wanted Criminals in Crossfire at Amritsar Wedding

In a dramatic turn of events, a crossfire erupted between Amritsar Police personnel and wanted criminals at a wedding venue in the city. The police, acting on intelligence, had tracked down the wanted individuals who were reportedly attending a wedding in Varpal on the Tarn Taran road.

Upon reaching the wedding resort, the accused, aware of the police presence, allegedly fired shots at the Station House Officer (SHO). This led to an intense crossfire between the criminals and the police, creating a chaotic scene at the wedding celebration.

It is noteworthy that both the families of the bride and groom were unaware of the presence of wanted criminals at the event, highlighting the unexpected nature of the incident.

The police successfully apprehended the wanted individuals, and no casualties were reported during the exchange of gunfire. The arrested individuals are now under investigation, with Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sucha Singh overseeing the case’s further developments.
