In a recent incident, a boat berthed at the Old Mundra port in Gujarat has caught fire, leading to the immediate dispatch of three fire tenders to the scene. The cause of the fire, which occurred during the loading of rice onto the boat, is yet to be determined.

The vessel, registered in Jamnagar and owned by Amadbhai Sandhar, became engulfed in flames, prompting a swift response from the Port Management Department and local police. Two fire tenders from the Adani Group and one from another private company were urgently deployed to combat the blaze.

While firefighting officials have successfully contained the fire to a significant extent, a comprehensive assessment of the overall damage is still pending. The incident highlights the challenges and emergency response efforts involved in addressing maritime fires at important ports like Mundra in Gujarat.
