In a groundbreaking achievement, Shah Rukh Khan’s latest blockbuster, ‘Jawan,’ has etched its name in history by becoming the most-watched film on Netflix in India. The streaming giant announced the record-breaking news on its official social media handle, marking another milestone for SRK in the digital realm.

Released on SRK’s 58th birthday, November 2, the extended version of ‘Jawan’ premiered on Netflix, delighting fans and contributing to its phenomenal success. The film’s popularity soared, securing its position as the top-watched film on the platform within the first two weeks of its launch.

Netflix India’s official handle, now known as X, shared the accomplishment, stating, “Vikram Rathore has hijacked our hearts and records! Jawan is now the most-watched film in India in the first 2 weeks of launch, across all languages, on Netflix! Watch Jawan in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, now streaming on Netflix.”

Directed by Atlee, ‘Jawan’ had initially hit theaters on September 7, making waves with its action-packed narrative and star-studded cast, including Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The film also features a special appearance by Deepika Padukone. ‘Jawan’ not only dominated the box office, with a record-breaking opening day earning Rs 129.06 crore worldwide, but it has now extended its reign on Netflix, captivating audiences across languages.

The movie, at its core, revolves around a father-son relationship, weaving in social and political commentary through Shah Rukh Khan’s compelling character.
