Former Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna recently shared insights into her past experiences on the set of the iconic film ‘Badshah’, particularly during the filming of the song ‘Mohabbat Ho Gayee’. Khanna revealed the extreme measures she took regarding her diet during that period.
Reflecting on her stint in the entertainment industry, Twinkle Khanna, who has since transitioned to writing and other ventures, reminisced about her role in ‘Badshah’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. While discussing the filming of the song ‘Mohabbat Ho Gayee’, Khanna shed light on her rigorous diet regimen.
In a candid conversation with News18, Khanna dispelled the notion that actresses eat freely without restrictions. She candidly stated, “Contrary to popular belief, many actresses, including myself, often resort to extreme dieting. To fit into those body-hugging catsuits, I had to make some sacrifices. I opted for a diet primarily consisting of chickpeas, considering its affordability and availability, especially given my Gujarati roots.”
She further elaborated on a particular scene from the song where Shah Rukh Khan had to lift her. Khanna humorously remarked, “During that scene, I genuinely feared I might burst, akin to those infamous gas canisters. If you observe closely, the tension on my face wasn’t just acting; everything was tightly clenched!”
Beyond her cinematic endeavors, Twinkle Khanna has carved a niche for herself as an author with her recent book release, ‘Welcome to Paradise.’ While ‘Badshah’ remains a milestone in her filmography, Khanna’s contributions to Bollywood also include movies like ‘Mela’, ‘International Khiladi’, and ‘Barsaat’
