Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Invited to Attend Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha' Ceremony

Renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma have been extended invitations to attend the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The couple joins a list of distinguished personalities, including MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Tiger Shroff, and others, invited for the grand event.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, marked by Vedic rituals, commenced a week prior to the main event, with the Ram Temple opening for public ‘darshan’ from January 23. Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated an 11-day special ritual in preparation for the consecration of Shri Ramlala at the temple.

The general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, provided details, stating that the ceremony is expected to conclude by 1 pm, followed by expressions of thoughts by PM Modi and other dignitaries present. Additionally, traditional gifts from Nepal’s Janakpur and Mithila areas have been received.

In sports, Kohli is currently part of the Indian T20I squad set to face Afghanistan in the third match of the series at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
