In a concerted effort, the Rajendranagar and Chevalla police executed a joint operation resulting in the arrest of four individuals from Maharashtra for transporting 64 kg of dry ganja from Odisha. Simultaneously, the Suryapet police apprehended three persons carrying 1.5 kg of ganja. The crackdown underscores law enforcement’s commitment to curbing narcotics-related activities in the region.

The contraband was being transported from Odisha, and the accused were intercepted at Sangareddy.
  2. Accused Identification: The four arrested individuals were identified as Chitra Kailash Mohite, Navnath Ganpat Chavan, Madan Balasaheb Bayas, and Rajesh Subhash Mohite. The accused had devised a plan to transport the ganja to Chevella, utilizing rides on trucks. Their arrest occurred at Shankarpally crossroads in Chevella while they awaited a truck.
  3. Parallel Operation: Simultaneously, the Suryapet police conducted an operation resulting in the arrest of three individuals—Roshan Kumar Singh, Telanagi Murugesh, and Mohammad Anjad Pasha. The accused were in possession of 1.5 kg of ganja and were wanted for alleged involvement in selling the narcotic in Kothagudem, Suryapet, and Khammam districts.
  4. Criminal Nexus: The individuals arrested in both operations are believed to be part of networks engaged in the illicit trafficking and distribution of narcotics. The arrests aim to disrupt such networks and curb the illegal drug trade in the region.
  5. Police Statement: Suryapet SP Rahul Hegde emphasized that the accused apprehended in their operation were sought for their alleged involvement in distributing ganja across several districts, including Kothagudem, Suryapet, and Khammam.
