Renowned Bollywood actor Rio Kapadia, known for his roles in iconic films like “Chak De! India” and “Dil Chahta Hai,” has passed away at 66. He left us on September 13, and his last rites will be held on September 15 at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhumi in Goregaon. Rio Kapadia is survived by his wife Maria and their children Aman and Veer. The cause of his death remains undisclosed.
In addition to his film career, Rio Kapadia made notable appearances in popular TV series such as “Made In Heaven 2” and “Code M Season 2.” He was also part of legendary shows like “Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke” and “Mahabharat,” where he portrayed King Subala of Gandhara, Gandhari’s father.
Beyond acting, Rio Kapadia was a skilled sketch artist, showcasing his talent on Instagram with stunning pencil sketches of renowned celebrities including Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi, and Shah Rukh Khan.
With his passing, the film industry and art world have lost a multi-talented artist whose work will be remembered for years to come.
