Dubai Introduces 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visa for Indians: Key Details

Dubai has launched a new five-year multiple-entry visa, aiming to facilitate easier travel between India and the Gulf region. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) introduced this visa to strengthen economic collaborations, promote tourism, and foster business ties between India and Dubai.

Key Features of the Five-Year Multiple-Entry Visa:

  1. Validity: The visa is valid for a period of five years from the date of issuance.
  2. Entries and Exits: Holders of this visa can enjoy multiple entries and exits to and from Dubai, providing flexibility for business engagements and leisure travel.
  3. Stay Duration: The visa allows visitors to stay in the UAE for up to 90 days per visit. It is extendable once for a similar period, with a maximum total stay of 180 days in a year.
  4. Application Time: The visa can be obtained within 2-5 working days upon submitting the required documents and paying the specified fees and security deposit.

Application Process:

  1. Required Documents: Applicants need to provide a personal photo, a passport copy valid for at least six months, six months of bank statements, health insurance, and a round-trip ticket.
  2. Application Channels: Applicants can apply through various channels, including digital platforms such as the GDRFA website or smart application. They can also visit Customer Happiness Centers or AMER Service centres.
  3. Process: The application process involves filling in the required information, submitting necessary documents, and paying the service fee, either online or at designated centers.

Significance: This initiative aims to enhance travel convenience and strengthen ties between India and Dubai. The DET highlighted the notable 25% surge in visitors to Dubai in 2023 compared to pre-pandemic levels, making it the top source market.

The introduction of the five-year multiple-entry visa is expected to contribute to sustained economic collaborations, encourage tourism, and provide seamless connectivity for travelers between India and Dubai.
