It seems like Kriti Sanon is looking to expand her real estate assets. The actor recently shared the news about her foray into film production through her banner, Blue Butterfly Films, in association with her sister, Nupur Sanon. Subsequently, Kriti also announced her maiden venture, Do Patti, co-starring Kajol. The film is being made for Netflix. Talking about her real estate shopping, the actor-producer is hunting for a bigger space to make her new home in the city.
According to a source, Kriti has already checked out some properties in Bandra, though she is open to other locations like Juhu and Andheri too. Hopefully, she should be able to finalise her choice in the coming weeks.”
The Bhediya actor is currently staying on rent in a plush apartment in Andheri. Interestingly, the sprawling duplex is owned by Hindi cinema legend, Amitabh Bachchan. He had reportedly acquired it for a price of about Rs 31 crore. Kriti leased the duplex from Big B in the second half of 2021, for a deposit of Rs 60 lakh and a monthly rent of Rs 10 lakh.
Incidentally, this could be the actor-producer’s first own home in Mumbai after she came here about a decade ago. Before she rented out her current house from Amitabh Bachchan, Kriti used to stay in a beach house in Juhu, with sister Nupur and pet dog Disco. Not many know she got the interiors of the duplex done by celebrity home designer Priyanka Mehra, who was recommended by her Raabta co-star Sushant Singh Rajput.
On the work front, Kriti will be seen in Vikas Bahl’s next, Ganapath. The two-art action drama also sees her reunite with Tiger Shroff, with whom she made her big Bollywood debut, Heropanti. She recently wrapped up work on Lootcase director Rajesh Krishna’s next, The Crew, co-starring Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan. There is also a yet-untitled unique romantic comedy with Shahid Kapoor.
Kriti’s production debut also sees her reunite with Kajol, over eight years since Dilwale. While talking about her new film with Kriti, Kajol had said that not only is the story rooted in India, but it also promises entertainment for everyone across age groups and geography.
