In the recent episode of ‘Koffee With Karan 8,’ host Karan Johar welcomed cousins Kajol and Rani Mukerji as guests. While discussing their experiences, Rani playfully claimed that Karan had ‘hit’ her during the shoot of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,’ sparking a lively exchange.
As Karan Johar expressed that Kajol had advised him to raise his voice for on-set authority, Rani Mukerji interjected, stating, “You didn’t scream, but you hit me.” A surprised Karan promptly denied the claim, asserting that such actions were not appropriate. Kajol chimed in, referring to it as “abuse.”
Amidst the banter, Karan Johar clarified, “I know I snatched food off your table, but I didn’t hit you, Rani. Those were different days, and we were not woke. I had told Rani, ‘You have to wear a short skirt in Mauritius, so just lose some weight because you have to wear it.’” He continued by narrating a humorous incident involving room service and Rani’s mother.
Rani Mukerji lightened the mood, saying, “Karan, don’t get serious. I’m just joking. And I hope people who are watching this show should take it as a joke because it wasn’t really a hit. It was a gentle pat.”
