Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his state visit to the United States with fruitful discussions and engagements in New York. He met with Tesla CEO Elon Musk and other influential personalities before leading the 9th International Yoga Day celebrations at the United Nations headquarters. Following the Yoga Day event, Prime Minister Modi travelled to Washington DC for a briefing and cultural event before heading to Virginia. First Lady Jill Biden hosted him at the National Science Foundation, where they focused on career-connected learning and workforce training programs.

During his meeting with Elon Musk, discussions covered topics ranging from energy to spirituality. Prime Minister Modi commended Musk’s efforts to make technology accessible and affordable and invited him to explore investment opportunities in India’s electric mobility and commercial space sector.

The state visit highlights the significance of collaboration and strengthening relations between India and the United States across various domains.
