PM Modi's Temple Visits Ahead of Ayodhya Consecration Ceremony

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strategically included visits to temples linked to Lord Ram during his official state visits leading up to the Ayodhya consecration ceremony on January 22.

In the past week, PM Modi, amidst unveiling developmental projects and party activities, has visited temples associated with Lord Ram to convey a significant messaging linked to the upcoming consecration ceremony.

Recently, during his visit to Kerala, Modi offered prayers at the Lord Krishna Temple in Guruvayur and attended a wedding, followed by a visit to the Triprayar Sree Ramaswamy Temple, emphasizing the religious importance of the Ayodhya consecration.

In Andhra Pradesh, the PM visited the Veerabhadra temple in Lepakshi, a place linked to the mythical vulture Jatayu from the Ramayana. Modi engaged in bhajans for Ram and discussed the significance of Lord Ram’s life as a symbol of good governance.

In Nashik, Modi visited the Kalaram Mandir on the banks of the Godavari, a place associated with events from the Ramayana, including the abduction of Sita.

The temple visits are viewed as a strategy to energize the BJP cadre ahead of the 2024 elections, with the Ayodhya consecration ceremony amplifying the significance of these religious engagements.

As part of the 11-day rituals leading up to the consecration, PM Modi undertook symbolic activities like fish feeding and cow feeding, combining religious and political narratives.

The strategic temple visits underscore the BJP’s connection with Ayodhya and Lord Ram, serving as a precursor to further Ayodhya-linked plans.
