Political Highlights: BJP CM Speculation, Mizoram's New CM Swearing-In, and Congress Review Meeting

In the latest political developments, speculation looms over the BJP’s selection of Chief Ministers in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. Reports suggest that observers for the three states might be named by the end of Friday. The Union government’s decision to drop ministers elected in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh adds intrigue to the situation. Speculations about the delay in announcing new CMs hint at potential major changes to maintain a clean sweep in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In Chhattisgarh, there’s talk of pushback against Renuka Singh, with the Sahu OBC association allegedly recommending Arun Sao as the CM. Additionally, a BJP MLA’s father alleges sequestration by Vasundhara Raje’s son, a claim dismissed by the Raje camp as a conspiracy. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the 69th national conclave of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad in Delhi.

In Mizoram, Lalduhoma, leader of the Zoram People’s Movement, is slated to become the new Chief Minister on Friday, marking a departure from the Congress and Mizo National Front’s reign. The swearing-in ceremony will see several ZPM leaders taking oaths as ministers.

Simultaneously, Chhattisgarh’s outgoing CM Bhupesh Baghel and state Congress president Deepak Baij will convene in Delhi to review the party’s poor performance in the recently concluded Assembly polls.

On the parliamentary front, Lok Sabha Ethics Committee member Aparajita Sarangi is set to table the report recommending the expulsion of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra. The report, initially listed for December 4, could spark stormy scenes in the House, with demands for a full-fledged discussion.

As these political events unfold, the landscape remains dynamic with potential shifts in leadership and party strategies.
