At a recent fan event celebrating Shah Rukh Khan’s 58th birthday, renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani shared his experience of working with the actor for the first time in the upcoming film Dunki. Hirani, known for his iconic works like Munna Bhai MBBS and 3 Idiots, also revealed his initial attempts to cast Shah Rukh in his earlier projects. Hirani reminisced about the time when he first noticed Shah Rukh’s exceptional talent while watching the TV show Circus, leading him to consider the actor for future collaborations. However, circumstances and Shah Rukh’s meteoric rise to stardom delayed their first project together.

Despite missed opportunities in the past, Hirani finally teamed up with Shah Rukh for Dunki, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming affection of fans at the event. Shah Rukh playfully recounted his interactions with Hirani during earlier film offers, highlighting the evolution of their professional relationship over the years. Dunki, featuring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal alongside Shah Rukh Khan, is scheduled for a Christmas release, with the first teaser already generating excitement among audiences.
