Rashmika Mandanna exits director Venky Kudumula’s next with Nithiin

About three years ago, Rashmika Mandanna and Nithiin teamed up with director Venky Kudumula for Bheeshma. The box-office success of the film propelled the careers of both the actors and it was naturally expected that they would reunite with the director for another movie.

That’s what happened when earlier this year, it was announced that Rashmika, Nithiin and Venky would join hands again for a new film. Needless to say, fans of Bheeshma were also excited to see what the three would bring to the cinemas this time around. However, that happiness has been cut short. Reason being that Rashmika has reportedly decided to exit the yet-untitled film.

This development has not only taken the film trade aback, but also disappointed cinegoers who were looking forward to the new collaboration from the trio.

It is being said that the other parties understood Rashmika’s reasons for opting out, and after a series of discussions, is being deemed fair and square by all involved. The actor, who achieved the status of national crush post the mammoth success of Pushpa: The Rise, is currently committed to multiple projects. As a result of which, she genuinely has date issues and couldn’t commit to the timelines required by Venky for the film with Nithiin. The Kirik Party actor has not only been juggling roles and films, but also industries as she tries to strike a balance between Hindi and south cinema. Instead of dilly-dallying over the dates for Venky’s directorial venture, Rashmika felt it was better to part ways ona n amicable note.

The producers and director understood her predicament and wished her all the best for her various movies. They also reportedly promised to team up with Rashmika in future as and when a suitable subject comes up. Following her exit, it remains to be seen which leading lady is roped in her place.

She has already wrapped up filming Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next directorial venture, Animal, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Rashmika also has the much-anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule with stylish superstar Allu Arjun under production. She also has Rainbow, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual among others lined up in the coming months.
