In a distressing incident in Indore, a 24-year-old man, identified as Praveen Singh Dhakad, was apprehended for allegedly murdering his 20-year-old live-in partner. The tragic event unfolded due to a dispute arising from the victim’s reported refusal to engage in physical relations with Dhakad.
According to the police, the deceased and the accused had been sharing a rented residence in Indore for a brief period. Their acquaintance reportedly began through interactions on the social media platform, Instagram.
On December 7, the woman met her untimely demise within the confines of their rented accommodation located in the Raoji Bazaar vicinity. Law enforcement officers discovered her lifeless body on December 9, two days subsequent to the incident.
Elaborating on the sequence of events, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abhinay Vishwakarma, informed the media that Dhakad’s agitation escalated when the victim declined his advances. In a fit of rage, he allegedly inflicted a fatal stab wound to her neck using a pair of scissors, leading to her immediate demise.
In the aftermath of the crime, Dhakad purportedly acted impulsively, fleeing the scene after securing the residence and absconding with the victim’s mobile phone. However, authorities successfully located and detained him once the heinous act was brought to public attention.
