The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, made a spiritual visit during his busy schedule in Delhi. On Sunday morning, he took the time to offer prayers at the Akshardham Temple in New Delhi, where the ongoing G20 Summit is taking place.
Sunak’s convoy arrived at the temple, and extensive security measures were put in place in and around the temple in preparation for his visit.
Ahead of his arrival, Sunak had expressed his intention to visit the temple and had also mentioned that he is a “Proud Hindu” with immense respect for PM Modi, expressing his eagerness to support him in making the G20 Summit a great success.
During his visit to the Akshardham Temple, Sunak participated in Pooja and Aarti with deep reverence. As a gesture of goodwill, he was presented with a model of the temple as a token of appreciation for his visit.
